SNOW DOUGH!

Gina

Our recipe for snow dough is the perfect sensory base for wintery fun! It's soft and squishy and buildable and moldable!

Why we love it:

It's fun! Sensory Play encourages learning through curiosity, creativity, and free exploration of materials.

It can be calming! Sensory play of any kind can be a safe way to release big energy or emotions.

It uses household materials! You likely have just what you need on hand to make this fun & festive sensory bin.

Materials:

  • Baking soda

  • Conditioner

  • Bowl

  • Spoon

  • Any trinkets you want!

You can really use anything you want! Add in diggers or dinos or your favorite plastic characters. Add in animals or shoves or sparkly gems. Make a snowman or a castle or a sand mountain. The possibilities for play are endless!!!

How To:

  1. Mix 3 cups of baking soda with 1 cup of hair conditioner. Stir well and then knead with your hands until fully incorporated.

  2. Pour snow dough into a shallow tray or bowl. Add scoops, bowls, trinkets etc. This one is fun with plastic animals, toy shovels, trucks and more!

A Play Filled Life Pro Tip: Put the snow dough into the freezer for 30 minutes. It will be chilly to the touch and add another layer of fun into your sensory experience!

Store in an air-tight container for up to 2 weeks.

Important note: This is not a taste safe recipe. You get to decide what is safe and managable in your home. Always monitor young children during sensory play.
